We're hiring a Business Development Representative to open doors at large industrial and energy-intensive companies across Europe.
This is an early-career outbound role where your mission is to turn cold prospects into qualified enterprise meetings: proactive, high-energy work with a direct impact on our pipeline.

TL; DR
We help large enterprises cut energy costs and valorize flexibility by steering their energy use in sync with market prices and renewable generation.
We're hiring a Business Development Representative to generate qualified enterprise meetings across Europe.
This is an early-career outbound role (1 to 3 years' experience) in a small, fast-moving seed-stage team. Your job is to find the right people at large industrial and energy-intensive companies, get them interested, and book the meeting. Closing isn't on you. Opening doors is.
About Companion.energy
Companion.energy connects the financial side of energy management (contracts, markets, risk) with the operational side (assets, processes, sites). We model complex energy contracts and flexible assets, forecast demand and production, and translate predictions into automated, second-by-second decisions that move megawatts and money. Our software is used by large B2B enterprises and energy players to lower OPEX, maximize revenue, increase renewable usage, and manage risk.
Why Companion.energy?
- Make an impact where it matters: you'll reach some of Europe's largest energy users, the companies whose decisions move real megawatts and real money.
- Own the top of the funnel: every meeting you book feeds a fast-growing commercial engine. You'll see your impact in the pipeline within weeks.
- Join early, help shape the future: small team (~20 people), big impact. You'll help define how we prospect, what works, and how we scale across new markets.
- Learn fast: you'll work closely with experienced commercial leaders and founders, building skills that compound for the rest of your career.
- A mission that matters: helping companies adapt to a volatile energy landscape isn't just smart business. It accelerates the energy transition.
What you'll do
- Reach out to large industrial and energy-intensive companies across Benelux (our home market) and our expansion markets (UK, Germany, France, Spain).
- Run multi-channel outbound: email, phone, LinkedIn, and whatever else gets a reply.
- Research accounts, find the right decision-makers, and craft a reason for them to talk to us.
- Book qualified meetings for our commercial team. Your primary KPI is planned meetings.
- Experiment continuously: test messaging, sequences, and tools, and double down on what works.
- Feed insights from the front line back to the commercial and product teams.
What we're looking for
- 1 to 3 years of outbound or sales experience, ideally at a startup or scale-up. This is an early-career role, so we're looking for high-potential talent rather than senior profiles.
- Drive and initiative: you're proactive, resourceful, and genuinely enjoy starting conversations and building new relationships. This is the most important thing.
- You speak Dutch fluently, plus strong English. Additional European languages are a plus.
- A curious, experimental mindset: you'd rather try ten things and learn than wait for the perfect plan.
- Strong written and verbal communication: you can get a busy executive to care in two sentences.
- Based in Belgium or the Netherlands.
Bonus points
- Affinity with energy, industrial, or B2B SaaS domains (helpful, but secondary to your outbound skills).
- Familiarity with AI-powered prospecting tools and modern outbound stacks (Apollo, Clay, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar).
- A track record of hitting or beating meeting and pipeline targets.
Location
Belgium or the Netherlands (hybrid, with travel)
How we hire
An intro call to get to know each other, then a practical exercise or role-play, followed by conversations with the team and founders.
We keep it simple and can move fast.
