Context

Rozen Scheers is a three-hectare nursery fully dedicated to premium cut roses. Producing high-quality roses year-round requires a huge amount of energy: from lighting and heating to climate control and irrigation.

As energy prices became increasingly volatile, energy management evolved from an operational task into a strategic priority. At the same time, growing pressure to reduce fossil fuel consumption accelerated the need for electrification and smarter energy use.

To stay competitive and future-ready, Rozen Scheers invested heavily in sustainable infrastructure: floating solar panels, battery storage, electric boilers, and combined heat and power systems.

The challenge was no longer generating energy. It was managing all these systems together in the most intelligent and profitable way possible.
